Jalen Brunson dropped 45 points to close out the Knicks' first championship since 1973 and we're saying it out loud: Jalen Brunson over Luka Doncic. Not a debate. A verdict. We close the NBA season breaking down where the San Antonio Spurs go from here, including the Dylan Harper starter conversation, Wemby's subpar Q4 average in the playoffs, and what to do with Mitch Johnson.
Plus: Brendan Sorsby just walked out of college football's biggest scandal and straight into the NFL supplemental draft. We grade every landing spot.
And the USA Men's National Team opened the World Cup 4-1 on home soil... but are they a real contender or a mid-major with a ceiling problem?

Spurs win Game 3 at Madison Square Garden! Jalen Brunson and the Knicks still hold a 2-1 series lead, but Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs just reminded everyone this series isn’t over. We break down Game 3 of the NBA Finals, what it means for the series, and whether Brunson's fourth-quarter production across this Finals already locks him into the all-time point guard conversation regardless of how this ends.
Then we get into the Protect College Sports Act, the federal bill that would cap how much schools can pay athletes, limit transfers, and give the NCAA the legal muscle to enforce it all. Athletes and agents are furious. The schools pushing for it say without guardrails the entire system collapses. We break down what the bill actually does, who wins, who loses, and why the loudest supporters might have the most to gain.
Finally, Russell Wilson officially retired and landed at CBS Sports. Ten Pro Bowls. One Super Bowl ring. Two Finals appearances. The peak-Seattle run was one of the most efficient QB stretches of the 2010s. Is that a Hall of Fame career? We take a side.

The Rams just traded for Myles Garrett. We break down the blockbuster deal and what it means for LA's Super Bowl window.
The NBA Finals are here. We break down Spurs vs. Knicks, whether we're witnessing the birth of a new dynasty, and we're making our pick: San Antonio in 6, Wemby wins Finals MVP.
Then we head to the AL West, where the Mariners have taken first place on a six-game winning streak without Cal Raleigh while a piggyback rotation experiment has Luis Castillo confronting Dan Wilson mid-game.
We also get into Justin Herbert skipping two weeks of Chargers OTAs to fly to Europe for Madison Beer's concert tour. Harbaugh said he offered Herbert a ride to the airport. We're asking whether that's the right call or a red flag for a franchise still searching for its first deep playoff run.
Finally, we discuss Chet Holmgren's brutal series against the Spurs, the Chet vs. Wemby debate, and what his future looks like in OKC.

SGA Flopping Debate | OKC vs Spurs | NIL Is Out of Control
Sunday May 24, 2026
Sunday May 24, 2026
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: flopper or genius? There's a real conversation about what flopping does to the integrity of playoff basketball. Is SGA a surgeon who found the exact edge of the rulebook, or is he undermining the product? We go both sides, stat-backed, no hedging.
Wembanyama put up 41, 24, and two overtime periods in Game 1. OKC answered with 76 bench points in Game 3. The Thunder lead the Western Conference Finals 2-1 and the series hinges on whether Wemby can carry San Antonio alone. We break down the depth gap killing the Spurs and what Game 4 actually means for this series.
Plus: college sports NIL spending is completely out of control. Football rosters are pushing $50 million. Athletic directors are calling it sustainable with a straight face. We break down who wins, who loses, and what gets cut when the bill comes due.

The New York Knicks are rolling into the Eastern Conference Finals against a Cleveland team that just played two seven-game series. We break down why New York's plus -19.8 net rating makes this Eastern Conference Final feel less like a series and more like a formality.
Then the West Coast superstar slump report: Fernando Tatis Jr. has gone 46 games without a home run, Cal Raleigh is hitting .161, and Rafael Devers is nowhere near the player San Francisco paid for. Plus, 20-year-old Colt Emerson makes his MLB debut for Seattle after signing the largest pre-service extension in baseball history. JP Crawford is a free agent after 2026. The clock is ticking.
Also on the show: the next number one MLB Draft pick nobody is talking about, a live Spurs vs OKC update, and Ben went geoduck hunting.

The NFL schedule is out and the biggest story is not the marquee matchups -- it is who drew the toughest road. The Bengals could get a home field advantage for the playoffs while Miami Dolphins could open the season 0-5 with a brutal five-game stretch that includes trips to Vegas, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Minnesota. Meanwhile the San Francisco 49ers open Week 1 against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia on Netflix, and the Seahawks get a Christmas Day NFC West showdown against LA.
Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are heading to the Western Conference Finals. Now the most anticipated conference finals matchup in years is set: Wembanyama vs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Spurs vs. Thunder, the future of the NBA on one side of the bracket.
Also, Lane Kiffin is not a villain and not a genius. He is college football's Draymond Green, and the attention is the whole strategy.

LeBron's Last Run? | Trade Mike Trout Now | NCAA Kills the Cinderella
Saturday May 09, 2026
Saturday May 09, 2026
LeBron James is 41 years old, OKC just went up 2-0, and the question everybody in LA is already asking out loud: is this the last playoff run of his career? We break down why the Thunder are winning this series in five and what that means for the Lakers going forward. The refs heard the Lakers. Game 3 or Game 4 goes LA. And it still doesn't matter, Thunder in five. Then we get into Mike Trout, who is posting a 1.000 OPS and 11 home runs for a 15-23 Angels team, and why this may be the last real window to trade the greatest West Coast player of his generation before loyalty becomes a cautionary tale. Plus the NCAA just expanded the tournament to 76 teams, and we'll tell you exactly who this was built for (hint: it wasn't Gonzaga). Sharp takes, West Coast bias, backed by data. Anthony Edwards is active. Victor Wembanyama is ready. And the Western Conference Semifinals are officially here. This week on Big Ben & K Winn, we break down whether a banged-up Ant can keep the Wolves competitive against the deepest roster in basketball, and whether this is the round Wemby becomes a certified playoff closer.
Then we flip to the Lakers: Luka Doncic is out, LeBron is being asked to carry Hollywood against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, and the question isn't if OKC wins the series, it's whether the Lakers can stay alive long enough for Luka to walk back in. Plus, the Sacramento Athletics are in first place in the AL West and Nick Kurtz is chasing history. His walk streak is not a fluke. It's 98th-percentile bat speed backed by elite plate discipline, and this young core is starting to look like a real contender.

Monday Apr 27, 2026
The debate is no longer whether Victor Wembanyama is ready for the playoffs. The debate is whether the Spurs are now the most dangerous team in the Western Conference and the only real threat to an OKC repeat.
Speaking of OKC, the Oklahoma City Thunder are once again the No. 1 seed, defending champions, and the best team in the West. They're also the most under discussed dynasty in modern sports. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing at an MVP level, the bench is the best in the postseason, and somehow nobody seems that interested. We get into whether OKC is the most boring great team in NBA history and what a potential Wemby vs. SGA western conference finals matchup would mean for the West.
On the NFL side, the San Francisco 49ers had a draft. Trent Williams got a two-year, $50 million extension that keeps him through age 40. The team traded down from 27 to 33 and took Ole Miss wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling. Brandon Aiyuk is still technically on the roster. We ask the question every 49ers fan is quietly asking: is the Super Bowl window still open, or did it close somewhere between the 2025 season and right now?
And the San Francisco Giants are 13-15 while the Dodgers are sitting at 19-9. The NL West is already a problem. We have the Tony Vitello quote of the month, the bright spots in the rotation, and the honest conversation about whether this is just April or the beginning of a longer issue.
